The Herdade do Esporão Wine Tourism and Restaurant are now open seven days a week.

In this historic place where Nature is the lead player, the tranquillity makes days seem longer. Filling them with activities and happy memories among family and friends is easy. Visit us and enjoy.

Our Wine tourism is where everything happens and the first stop on any visit. Here you can find our Shop with exclusive products and enjoy tastings at any time at our Winebar. There are guided tours four times a day, in Portuguese or English, and this is the perfect suggestion for those who would like a closer look at the life cycle of our products. Visiting the Cellar, 30 metres underground, is just one of this journey’s highlights, which also features other key spots like the Adega dos Lagares and the Olive Oil Mill. Each visit offers various challenges for the senses, whether in a Vertical Tasting – where different vintages of the same wine are tasted -, in a Barrel Tasting, Blind Tasting with aromatics exercise or in a customised Workshop. For the olive oil, visitors can taste the full portfolio or three olive oils that represent the diversity of our offer.

Outdoors, travel through time in the Historic Centre, which features three historic monuments – the Esporão Tower, Esporão Arch and Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Chapel. If you have the time, enjoy exploring other parts of Herdade do Esporão and visit the Perdigões Archaeological Complex.

Your visit is only complete with lunch at the  Herdade do Esporão Restaurant. A recently renovated space, where large windows offer plenty of natural light and bring the landscape closer. It’s almost like you become a part of the portrait painted by the vineyards and the nature, which is also reflected in what we eat and drink here. Using seasonal products from local producers, as well as produce from our kitchen garden, chef Carlos Teixeira and his team create a terroir cuisine. The menu is designed for moments to be shared, in a simple approach that, every month,  includes a dish inspired by recipes from Esporão & A Comida Portuguesa a Gostar Dela Própria. For a different experience, the Carte Blanche Menu gives you the opportunity to place your meal in the chef’s hands, defined in five or seven moments. Our wines, olive oils and Sovina craft beer are the perfect complement for each moment.
