The product as starting point, where form, texture, colour and all its best characteristics are preserved, extracting the maximum flavour.


Set against Esporão’s Estate tranquil landscape, the restaurant has an outward focus, using local materials that define the architecture, favouring both authenticity and comfort. 

We advise booking with a minimum of 72h in advance.

We’re open for lunch, between 12.30am and 3.30pm. From tuesday to saturday.

Restaurant Menus


With straightforward and tasty dishes to share. Made with seasonal ingredients, from local and national producers, closely following each of their cycles. Hence, the menu is always changing, with no prior notice.

Each week you can count with a dish inspired in the recipes of Esporão & A Comida Portuguesa a Gostar Dela Própria (portuguese gastronomic project).

Average price per each person meal, without wines (indicative): €45



You can also choose the Menu ‘Carte Blanche’, leaving the decisions entirely to the chef, that will define a tasting menu with 5 to 7 moments, accordingly to the visitors whishes.

The menu is available to groups up to 10 people. For larger groups, we ask for a minimum of 72h in advance reservation. You can also opt for other menus – please, send us an e-mail for further information and availability.

The Spaces

The restaurant space was refurbished by the architecture atelier SKREI, also responsible for the ‘Adega dos Lagares’ (Lagares winery). It reveals a room facing the exterior and the vineyard, of luminous and confortable atmosphere.


The ample terrace of the Estate’s restaurant ends where the vineyard begins, offering a panoramic view of the lake. It is ideal for alfresco dining while enjoying the long sunny days of the Alentejo, as well as the tranquillity of a landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see.

The restaurant and shop terraces offer a unique connection to both the dam and vineyards, as well as the wineries.

Functioning as an extension of the building, the patio and surrounding garden are both cool and calm, places where seasonal flowers and plants reign and which provide much-needed shade in summer, while enhancing the winter light that reflects off the water.

The edge of the garden has a portico with “casas de fresco” built with grill bricks and a footpath that extends to the neighbouring landscape, as well as the vineyard and reservoir.
