2019 was a dry year, with less rainfall and lower average temperatures than usual. Nonetheless, according to Quinta dos Murças’ winemaker, José Luís Moreira da Silva, the 2019 vintage of Assobio White and Rosé has a remarkable freshness: “The grapes’ ripening cycle was longer than usual, which ended up helping preserve the good acidity that is so typical of these wines’ profile”.

Assobio White 2019 is produced from the Viosinho, Verdelho, Rabigato, Gouveio, and Códega do Larinho grape varieties. This wine has a lemon-yellow color, with intense and fresh citrus aromas, as well as notes of tropical fruit and white pulp fruit.

Assobio Rosé 2019, produced from the Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz, and Rufete grape varieties, is pink with subdued red hues. On the nose, berries and vegetable notes stand out, lending this wine greater freshness.

The Assobio range is part of the Quinta dos Murças wine portfolio, which is comprised of Minas, Reserva, Margem, VV47, Tawny Port 10 years, Vintage Port and organic extra virgin olive oil.
