We’re already enjoying the harvest at Quinta dos Murças

After Herdade do Esporão, now it’s time to get into the harvest’s pace at Quinta dos Murças. At this time of the year, it gains new colors and movement as the Douro. It is the perfect time for a visit and, for that reason, we’ve put together a special program for you.

Along with the typical tours to the wineries and cellars and also the wine tastings, we give you the chance to participate in a “lagarada”, a traditional foot treading process. You can also enjoy lunch with our winemaker and end your day resting at the main house.

It will be a unique experience that will belong to the history of this year’s harvest wines. Become part of it.

Harvest Program at Quinta dos Murças (from September 10th until the harvest’s end*)
15h00 – Arrival and guided tour to the wineries and cellar.

17h00 – “Lagarada” (getting inside the mil and foot treading).

18h00 – Wine tasting at the winery: Assobio White, Assobio Rose, Assobio Red, Quinta dos Murças Minas and Quinta dos Murças Reserva.

(includes a harvest kit with a tote bag, a t-shirt and a straw hat)

 

A minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 7.

Price: 50€ per person

ONLY WITH RESERVATION.

Special Harvest Program with Winemaker (September 14th)
11h00 – Arrival at Quinta dos Murças.

11h30 – Tour by the vineyards and participation in the hand-picking process.

13h00 – Lunch with the winemaker José Luís Moreira da Silva.

15h00 – Guided tour to the winery with the winemaker.

16h00 – “Lagarada” (getting inside the mil and foot treading).

17h00 – Wine tasting at the winery: Assobio White, Assobio Rose, Assobio Red, Quinta dos Murças Minas, Quinta dos Murças Margem, Quinta dos Murças Reserva and Quinta dos Murças VV47.

The house guests can participate in the harvesting process and in the “lagaradas”, throughout all the harvest season, without additional costs. The wine tasting will have the usual cost and include a harvest kit.
