Esporão Cordovil Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2021/2022 attracts international recognition. After winning Gold at the NYIOOC and Olive Japan 2022 and being attributed third place in the AOVE Salón Gourmets World Competition in the “Ripely Fruity” category, another accolade was the second prize in the “Mild Greenly Fruity” category at the 11th International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition in Ovibeja, Portugal.

The Olival dos Arrifes Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil won the gold at BIOL Italy for the best organic olive oil in the world, and two gold medals in the Portuguese National Olive Oil Competition (Feira Nacional da Agricultura) in the “Medium Greenly Fruity” and “Organic” categories.

Olival dos Arrifes Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced at Herdade do Esporão. It thrives in a balanced ecosystem with a wealth of biodiversity, planted in an 80-hectare, organic olive grove on a hillside with rocky soil that makes trees more resilient. It’s a blend of two olive varieties, Arbequina and Cobrançosa. Though native to the north-eastern Portuguese region of Trás-os-Montes, the latter thrives in the Alentejo where it yields fresh, fruity olive oils that are predominantly herbaceous with hints of freshly cut grass.
