Harvest programme – Herdade do Esporão
At Herdade do Esporão we have programmes with a guided tour in Portuguese on 23rd and 27th of August and 2nd and 9th of September. On the 26th and 30th August with a guided tour in English.

10h00 – Reception at the Herdade do Esporão Tourist Office and delivery of the Harvest Kit
Start of our journey with a meeting point at the tourist office, where each participant will be given their harvest kit.
10.30 a.m. – Transport to the vineyard and grape picking activity
Transport to the vineyard and active participation in the grape harvest. Take the opportunity to get involved in this traditional and rewarding task.
Photo session
During the grape harvest, we’ll have a special moment to capture beautiful memories with a photo session.
11.30 a.m. – Guided tour of the cellars, wine cellar and wine tasting
Explore our wineries and cellars on a guided tour. Enjoy a wine tasting directly in the bottle-ageing cellar, where you can sample some of our best wines.
13h00 – Lunch at the Wine Bar with a special Harvest menu
End the morning with a delicious lunch in our Wine Bar, featuring a special vintage menu.

In the Douro, visit us at Quinta dos Murças from 10th to 14th September.
10th to 14th September:
10h00 – Reception at the Quinta dos Murças Tourist Office and delivery of the Harvest Kit
Start of our journey with a meeting point at the tourist office, where each participant will be given their vintage kit and served a welcome coffee.
10.30 a.m. – Guided tour of the winery and cellars
Explore our cellars and winery on a guided tour.
11.30am – Lagarada
Enter the mill and take part in the foot treading.
12.30pm – Quinta dos Murças wine tasting
Enjoy a wine tasting where you can sample some of our best wines.
13h00 – Special harvest lunch
End the morning with a delicious special harvest lunch.

At Quinta do Ameal we have a programme on the 13th of September.
13th September:
10:00 a.m. – Reception at the Quinta do Ameal Tourist Office and delivery of the Harvest Kit
Start of our journey with a meeting point at the tourist office, where the harvest kit will be handed out to each participant and a welcome coffee will be served.
10.30 a.m. – Visit to the vineyard with grape picking
Get to know our vineyard and have the experience of taking part in the picking of the Loureiro grapes.
11.30 a.m. – Guided tour of the winery and participation in the selection table
Explore our winery on a guided tour and join the picking table to select the best grapes.
12.30pm – Quinta do Ameal wine tasting
Enjoy a wine tasting where you can savour some of our best wines and the uniqueness of the Loureiro grape variety.
13h00 – Special harvest lunch
End the morning with a delicious special harvest lunch.
15h30 – “Be an oenologist for a day” workshop
Join Quinta do Ameal’s winemaker, Mafalda Magalhães, and be a winemaker for a day. Mix the musts and understand how a wine is created.
