Made slowly in the Alentejo,Monte Velho Rosé 2020 follows the same philosophy as the White and Red versions, presenting itself with an Alentejo character, rich and versatile at the table. With a beautiful salmon color and aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruit with hints of green mint, this rosé also stands out for its freshness and elegance that make it an excellent company, both for light starter dishes and for more complex dishes.

For Sandra Alves, oenologist at Herdade do Esporão, “When we think of Monte Velho, we think of a wine that is unquestionably Alentejo, friend of the table, made with all the rigor and demand. The new Monte Velho Rosé maintains these characteristics, but reinforces the lightness and freshness that we look for in a rosé, making it relaxed and uncomplicated. To this end, we went looking for grapes in an earlier stage of ripeness. We selected a batch of Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Trincadeira, Tinta Caiada, among others, in order to highlight the freshness and elegance that characterize the Alentejo.”
