Composting

All the organic by-products generated by our operation (stalks, grape pulp, olive leaves, olive pomace and pruning waste) are used to make a compost heap.

This produces naturally formed compost rich in essential nutrients for our cultures, which helps us maintain soil fertility and reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers, while recycling all surplus.

It allows us to eliminate seeds and other elements that help weeds and pathogens spread, increasing the speed with which such vegetation become nutrients for plants. In terms of the soil, it improves drainage and aeration, encourages biological activity, boosts water reserves and nutrients, and makes it easier to work.
