Without ever losing sight of the company’s Values and Mission, Finagra has made a great effort to play an important role in terms of social responsibility. The company has become involved in several initiatives in this regard, namely in arts and culture, education and professional training projects, as well as environmental protection.

We have concentrated a lot of our efforts on environmental matters. We are the only Portuguese wines company to take part in the European "Business & Biodiversity" initiative; in 2007 we initiated a study into the installation of a biomass power station, which would make use of the waste from the municipality’s agricultural activities.  

In addition to this, Finagra has sponsored and encouraged several archaeological projects and ventures, such as the restoration of the Herdade dos Perdigões – a project we have supported over the last 10 years.

Another project which demonstrates Esporão’s active participation in the community is its work with the Reguengos de Monsaraz crèche. The company will be responsible for supplying all the equipment needed by the crèche, as well as for the architectural project for its garden.
