The Reguengos de Monsaraz Crèche, situated next to the town’s EB1 school, started in September 2009 and is one of the projects which demonstrate Herdade do Esporão’s active participation in the local community. Thanks to a partnership with the Reguengos de Monsaraz Town Hall and the Fundação Maria Inácia Perdigão Silva, the Herdade do Esporão will be responsible for supplying all the equipment needed by the crèche, as well as for the architectural project for its garden. The crèche will have two nurseries, each with a capacity for eight 2-12 month-old babies. It will also have rooms, a park and 4 activities rooms, two of which will be for 12-24 month-olds, and the others for 24-36 month-olds. It will also provide support services, a reception, archive, infirmary, a gym, staffroom and other facilities. This municipal crèche will guarantee all Esporão workers preferential conditions.
